Missionary Partnership
"8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." Acts 1:8
In January of 2008, Stonebridge Fellowship partnered with South African missionaries Dann and Kristi Fair. As we were challanged to be obedient to God's call for our congregation, regardless of location, we agree to offer prayer, encouragement and financial support as the Fairs continue to minister to impoverished children through out South Africa.
Missionary Background & Support
Dann and Kristi left in the Summer of 2007 to server in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. They were organized through a ministry known as Oceans of Mercy. A unique aspect of this ministry is that 100% of the funds donated to the children goes to the children. None of the donations go to administration fees or to pay the missionaries. Kristi and Dann are completed supported by donations from friends, family and church.
Why would missionaries need support? First, missionaries have physical needs. Electricity, food, water, rent and other expenses are all out of pocket. Donation money and food is kept seperately, so that the children recieve 100% of the support for them. Second, missionaries need prayer and love support. A typical day for the Fairs starts at about 5:30 AM and ends at around 9:00 PM. They need refreshing physical and emotional strength. Encouragement goes a long way! Every piece of mail let's them know that we love them and support God's call on their life.
Child Sponsorship
Dann and Kristi support 17 children in the village that they live in. They are able to do this by hiring "mamma's" or local women who help with feeding, teaching, and meeting the needs of the kids. Since their arrival, the Fairs have gone into other villages seeking children who are in desperate need of help. To date, there are over 500 children who have been sponsored. All sponsorships are organized through OneLifeChild.org. Each kit purchases necessary food, clothing, and supplies to educate and feed each child. See OneLifeChild.org for more information.
